New Zealand mosque shooting suspect wasn't the same after his travels: family
The grandmother of Brenton Tarrant said on March 17, she was left "gobsmacked" upon hearing the news that he was allegedly responsible for the Christchurch mosque shootings.
Speaking to Australia's Nine Network, Marie Fitzgerald and Tarrant's Uncle Terry Fitzgerald, spoke of their disbelief and shared their compassion for the victims of the attack
Marie Fitzgerald also said that Tarrant had changed after he travelled overseas.
Tarrant, 28, a suspected white supremacist, was charged with murder on March 17. Tarrant was remanded without a plea and is due back in court on April 5 where police said he was likely to face more charges.
