The Irish racehorse The Cliffsofmoher has died after being injured in the 2018 Melbourne Cup. The stallion was euthanized after fracturing his right shoulder on Nov. 6. The Cliffsofmoher was the sixth horse to die in the annual event since 2013. Race organizers expressed their regrets, and animal rights groups called for reform. The Irish stallion made his racing debut two years ago. He had won a total of more that $1.7 million in prize money.
