In South Korea, a wildly popular band called BTS is facing backlash from China. That's after it used the slogan “be water” to promote its branded bottle water. It’s unclear whether the band intended to draw the reference to Hong Kong's pro-democracy movement. The Chinese regime’s internet-savvy supporters, dubbed the “little pinks”, are expressing their outrage toward the band online. The conflict closely follows another instance of BTS criticism from China. Which condemned the band just last week, for making comments about the Korea War and expressing solidarity with the U.S.
