Australian officials were continuing their search on Monday (August 27) for people who deserted their suspected illegal fishing boat in croc-infested waters of far North Queensland after it ran aground at the weekend. According to local broadcaster, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, 15 people are in custody but it is unknown how many people were on the vessel when it ran aground on August 26. Local resident, Grant Plummer said he saw one man walking along the road, but he quickly disappeared into the scrub. Queensland Police set up roadblocks to search for stow-aways at the Daintree River ferry crossing. Credit: Reuters
