Saudi Arabia admits Khashoggi died in consulate, fires two senior officials
Missing columnist Jamal Khashoggi was killed
in the Saudi Arabia Consulate in Istanbul.
Saudi Arabia officials said they confirmed
the death in statements issued on Oct. 19.
A discussion with Khashoggi trying to persuade him
back to Saudi Arabia turned violent.
The suspects concealed what happened and
attempted to cover it up, Saudi officials added.
Due to the results, five top officials have
been fired and 18 Saudi citizens were arrested.
U.S. President Donald Trump said of the news:
“A horrible event. This has not gone unnoticed.”
Khashoggi was last seen on Oct. 2
entering the consulate in Turkey.
