😃 Mr. Smiley 2.0 🤓 Transforming Talking Emoji 😲 Pure Origami [Low Intermediate] How to make an emoji that smiles, frowns, moves its mouth when you pull the sides, wears sunglasses, winks and blinks, becomes sad or angry, and does a head spin. This new version includes movable eyes with pupils and a sleep mask, but the major enhancement is with the mouth: The smile is much more pronounced and can be sharp or blunt at the ends and the frown is bolder and a little easier to make. My favorite of all is the talking feature where you pull and push on two colored flaps to make the mouth open and close, so your fingers do not cover any part of the mouth as it talks. This model was inspired by my recent Zoom tutoring session with Raphael where we designed a spinning dog face. That got me wondering whether Mr. Smiley could spin like that too, and after the session I got totally caught up in redesigning and improving Mr. Smiley and have basically been working on this model and tutorial ever since!
