Day 4 / 2021 Fall Harvest - October 7

Anyone involved with harvest knows plans change quite regularly. To have a “normal” day is usually pretty special. The moisture was too high this morning when we began picking corn. So, the “plan” was to change to soybeans. This means the corn header needs swapped for the MacDon. But, as luck had it, the red truck needed repaired after it moved from the field to the grain bin. The height control valve wasn’t keeping air in the air bags for the chassis. We need both trucks to haul beans as they are going to the local elevator. So, I was told I had the afternoon off. I chose to spend it with Jim in the field and watch that operation for a while. Lots Of moving parts happening there!
