Sydney man arrested and charged with terror offences

Cathy He
A 26-year-old man from Sydney has been charged with terrorism-related offences after he allegedly tried to travel overseas to possibly carry out terrorist attacks outside Australia in 2016. Nowroz Amin was arrested from his south-western Sydney home on June 16 following a lengthy joint investigation by a number of law enforcement agencies, including the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and New South Wales (NSW) police, that was triggered after extremist materials were found in the man's possession.
