Migrants in Tijuana, Mexico are illegally entering the United States.
At least a dozen migrants climbed over
the border fence on Monday, Dec. 3.
Border Patrol was close by,
and a helicopter was patrolling overhead.
But migrants still crossed the border, some
even bringing children.
Most migrants walked to U.S. Border Patrol officials
and handed themselves in.
The reason for this could be that
applying for asylum at a U.S. border can take months,
but if migrants enter illegally and
hand themselves in to authorities,
their cases may be solved faster.
There were some migrants
who tried to run and avoid capture.
At least 6,000 migrants have travelled to
the Mexican border city of Tijuana.
