New Video Footage Shows How Murderer Escaped Pennsylvania Jail as Manhunt Stepped Up

Newly-released surveillance footage shows just how Danelo Cavalcante—who escaped Pennsylvania’s Chester County Prison on Aug. 31—was able to crab-walk his way up a wall and out of the prison yard. This isn’t the first time an inmate there has used that tactic to escape, as another inmate escaped from the prison on May 19 by climbing onto the roof and dropping down to a less-secure area. That prisoner, however, was caught just five minutes after his escape. Authorities in West Chester, Pa., have stepped up their manhunt for Cavalcante.
