Teacher Claims She Was Fired Over 'No Zero' Grading Policy
A teacher claims she was fired for giving ‘zero’
grades when students didn’t hand in their work.
Diane Tirado claims that a Florida school had
a policy that no grades should be below 50%.
The Port St. Lucia school board denies having a
‘no zero’ policy.
A note on a grading sheet says, “NO ZEROS-
LOWEST POSSIBLE GRADE IS 50%”
The school board said she was on a
probationary contract that ended after a month.
