Unfinished Multi-Million Dollar Bridge Swept Away by Flood in China

The Epoch Times
The Epoch Times
Several days of rainstorms have caused severe flooding and a massive mudslide in Sichuan province. A bridge that was under construction in Pingchang county—located in the northeastern Sichuan province—succumbed to the rising flood and was quickly washed away. According to Chinese state media, the local government invested 140 million yuan ($19.8 million) in the construction of the bridge, which began on July 2, 2019. The bridge would have been 350 meters (0.2 miles) long and 13 meters (43 feet) wide upon completion.
