Cranberries singer O'Riordan died by drowning

Della Sun
Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan drowned in a bath, concluded a coroner’s inquest. The body of the former lead singer was found submerged in her bathtub on Jan 15. On Sept. 6, the coroner ruled her death as an accidental drowning due to alcohol intoxication. Toxicology tests showed she had been drinking. The 46-year-old had left no note and there was no evidence of self-harm. The Cranberries formed in the late 1980s. The Irish band found fame in the 90s with hits such as “Dream,” “Linger,” and “Zombie.”
