Former Shanghai Bookseller’s Wife Hit with ‘Exit Ban’

Former Shanghai Bookseller Miao Yu, who resides in Florida now, says his wife Fang Xie was prevented from boarding a plane in Shanghai last August when trying to return to the US. He explained Tuesday that she hasn't been allowed to leave China since then. The latest example of an "exit ban" commonly imposed by Chinese authorities. Miao Yu is now reaching out to the US government for help.
