TikTok Spends Millions on Lobbying in US: Report

The wildly-popular social media app TikTok isn't bowing out without a fight. Tiktok operates a strong lobbying group in Washington. In 2019, TikTok's Chinese parent company, ByteDance, employed 17 lobbyists and spent $270,000 lobbying on capitol hill. This, according to public records gathered by the transparency group Open-Secrets.
