Our show often includes a piece that depicts persecution that happens in modern-day China. Unfortunately, Principal Dancer Steven Wang has lived through the same persecution that is often shown on stage. A ransacked home, a lonely holiday, and never being able to see his parents together again, are just some of the things that he experienced. When Steve dances his personal experience adds deep meaning to his movements. He uses the art of classical Chinese dance to show more people what is happening there, even today.
