NORTH DAKOTA SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

Family business Dakota Micro is North Dakota's 2020 Small Business Administration Business of the Year. It manufactures rugged camera equipment for farms, construction sites, and the military right there in the Peace Garden State. It says its cameras are the most dependable on the market. They test them by driving over them, blowing them up, or even shooting at them with a rifle. The company's co-owner Charrisa Rubey told me the cameras have a failure rate of less than .1 percent. It's not possible to achieve such a high quality product without a company culture of quality. I ask Charrisa today how she and her husband instill that type of culture in the business.
