Woman lay dead in a Nevada jail cell for hours after deputy found her unresponsive

Kelly Coltrain was jailed in Mineral County for unpaid parking tickets on July 19, 2017. She told her jailers she was withdrawing from heroin, and was prone to seizures while withdrawing. At 5 p.m. on July 22, a deputy made her clean up her own vomit, although she was too sick to stand. An hour later she went into convulsions and died. Her jailers made no effort to get help or to resuscitate Coltrain. They left her body for 11 hours.
