2018-03-13 12:13
Dramatic footage shot from a police helicopter shows the moment on July 14, 2017, when London acid attacker Derryck John was arrested in north London, after entering a park and attempting to hide from officers. A man in a police helicopter can be heard communicating with officers on the ground and telling them which direction the 16-year-old was moving in. In a video shared by the National Police Air Service, John can at first be seen lying down, before standing and running out of the park and onto a road where an officer tackles him to the ground as he tries to run away. John, now 17, pleaded guilty to 12 charges of robbery and throwing a corrosive substance with intent to harm. He was sentenced to 10 and half years in prison on March 12.
