Gas leak from a chemical plant occurred in Wutongqiao district of Leshan, Sichuan province, southwestern China. The entire district was enveloped in thick fog emitting pungent odors. The panicked residents quickly evacuated. Residents told The Epoch Times that the outgoing traffic was almost paralyzed. Despite many vehicles running into accidents, drivers continued on the road as fast as they could. Some store owners left in such a hurry that they didn’t even have time to close the doors.
