Washington state abduction turns out to be 'escape-room style prank,' officials say

THE EVENTS ALL UNFOLDED IN OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON WEDNESDAY (8/22)... WHERE WITNESSES CALLED 9-1-1 SAYING.... FIVE TO SIX MEN DRESSED IN WHITE PLASTIC JUMPSUITS.... GRABBED THREE PEOPLE, INCLUDING A YOUNG GIRL. THE CALLERS CLAIMED THE VICTIMS' ARMS WERE ZIP-TIED--- THEN THEY WERE THROWN INTO A RED FORD TRUCK. BY THE TIME WASHINGTON STATE PATROL TROOPERS ARRIVED TO THE SCENE.. THE TRUCK AND THE GROUP HAD LEFT. OFFICIALS SAY ABOUT TEN HOURS LATER.... THEY LEARNED THAT A FAMILY OF SIX AND TWO FRIENDS... HAD PLANNED THE "ESCAPE ROOM STYLE PRANK." THE TARGET OF THE PRANK.. AN 11 AND 15 YEAR OLD. IN A RELEASE THE WASHINGTON STATE PATROL.. SAYS A 17 YEAR OLD LED THE TWO YOUNGER KIDS TO HERITAGE PARK... WHERE SIX ADULTS, AGED 20 THROUGH 28 WERE HIDING IN THE NEARBY BUSHES.
