Maeklong Railway Market is located in Samut Songkhram, not far away from Bangkok. It sells fresh vegetables, snacks, and fruits, but what makes it special is that the market runs down the middle of a train track. Every once in a while, when trains come by the market stalls have to move out of the way not to get hit. The train has finally passed, so the fruit vendors are packing up their umbrellas and moving their products away from the train tracks. Some wares are left on the ground when it's train time, and then miraculously nothing gets damaged or broken. The vendors put their merchandise back on the track and carry on with business (until the next train passes).
