US Military Moves Aircraft out of the Path of Hurricane Florence
The US Navy and US Air Force aircraft evacuated aircraft from bases in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina to avoid the impact of Hurricane Florence.
More than 100 aircraft at Virginia’s Naval Air Station Oceana were relocated to bases in six other states on Wednesday, September 12. The US Navy had earlier this week ordered 30 ships in Hampton Roads to leave port to weather the impact of the Category 3 storm in the Atlantic.
