Put The Spline In The Coconut Part Three

Repair or replace a spline section on a hardened shaft is the challenge and we start off the project by attempting to anneal the ares needed to be refurbished. Hydrated lime and a number 6 torch tip, heating and controlled cooling is the plan. With the shaft prepped and all the needed supplies ready we start off the weld build up on the shaft, soon finding out the rod is not compatible with the base material, we switch up and get the build up done with plan B. cheers, ;{)
