America’s Got Talent’ Alumnus Kicked Off Tour After Posing in MAGA Hat

Celeste Li
A singer who starred on “America’s Got Talent” was kicked off a tour due to a Facebook post. Benton Blount was opening for Billy Gibbons, a guitarist for ZZ Top, on his current concert tour. But Blount was booted after he posted a photo in a MAGA hat, holding a Chick-Fil-A meal. In another Facebook post, Blount said Gibbons’ management team kicked his band off the tour. “It doesn’t make any sense to me,” he said. “You proved a point. I don’t know if it’s the one you’re trying to get across.” MAGA, or “Make America Great Again,” is the official slogan for President Trump’s supporters.
