One Dead after Flash Flooding Hits Seoul After Torrential Rain Batters South Korean Capital
One man died and two women were injured after heavy rainfall lashed Seoul, South Korea, on Tuesday, August 28, causing flash flooding.
The man, aged in his 40s, drowned after he was stranded in rising water in Nowon district, southeastern Seoul, according to Yonhap News. Meanwhile two women were treated for injuries following the flooding in the same district, firefighters said.
Torrential rains also brought floods to the cities of Gwangju and Daejeon on Tuesday, damaging properties, knocking out power and causing traffic chaos, authorities said.
