Best Marine Corps Promotion Ever

Two Marines were walking through Walmart. My 4 year old son froze. He pointed to the two Marines. “Daddy... look. Heroes.” I stopped the two Marines, each twice my size. “Guys,” I said, “my son would like to shake your hands.” The two Marines suddenly stood at attention then each knelt down and shook my boy’s hand. They spoke to him for a minute or so. They were so kind, so gentle. Then they stood and saluted and my son instantly saluted back. Then they walked away. 17 years later my son became a United States Marine. It was his dream, instilled by those two warriors.
