So far, floods have ravaged 26 Chinese provinces and nearly 14 million people have been affected. Chinese state media reported that on June 30, heavy rain turned streets into rivers in Quzhou city, located in China’s eastern Zhejiang province. In some neighborhoods, accumulated rainfall exceeded 10 centimeters (4 inches). More than 60 people were forced to abandon their homes. In addition, online videos showed that Huainan city in Anhui province and Nanjing city in Jiangsu province were also inundated in floodwater.
