Spenser Rapone posted images of him supporting communism at his West Point graduation ceremony. Less than a year later, he is officially out of the U.S. Army with an other-than-honorable discharge. West Point released a statement after Rapone posted the photos. United States Military Academy West Point: “Rapone's actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army.” Senator Marco Rubio called on the secretary of the Army to remove Rapone from the officer ranks. Senator, Marco Rubio: While in uniform, Spenser Rapone advocated for communism and political violence, and expressed support and sympathy for enemies of the United States. I'm glad to see that they have given him an 'other-than-honorable' discharge. U.S. Army: “The Army conducted a full investigation, and that appropriate action was taken.”
