ISIS teen bride runaway Shamima Begum 'gives birth' in Syria

A British teenager who ran away from home to join the Islamic State (IS) group has told Sky News that "a lot of people should have sympathy" for her as she reiterated her wish to return to Britain. Shamima Begum,19, was speaking on Sunday, not long after giving birth to a baby boy in a camp for the displaced in northern Syria. Begum was one of a group of schoolgirls from London's Bethnal Green neighbourhood who went to Syria to marry IS fighters in 2015 at a time when the group's online recruitment programme lured many impressionable young people to its self-proclaimed caliphate.
