A security guard was shot during a fight at a North Carolina nightclub on the early hours of Aug. 20.
Workers tried to stop a group of patrons from drinking out of an open bottle of alcohol at the club, which led to the fight.
"I think that was pretty much like a tussle. It was a tussle and then shots fired. Even after that it kept fighting," Blessing Nwosu told WSOC.
The gunmen were believed to be a part of the group of the headlining performer, Atlanta-based rapper Trouble. Police recovered five firearms and one silencer.
Trouble was performing at World Nightclub, part of the AvidXchange Music Factory complex. Police who responded saw more fighting break out in the parking lot.
Police told Fox 46 that 26-year-old Timothy Royster was shot. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Dozens of police arrived and detained multiple people at the scene, but it is too early to know if anyone has been charged.
