2018-05-08 16:19
The dying wish of a Tennessee woman hospitalised with cancer was fulfilled, when she was able to witness her son graduate from high school in a special ceremony at the hospital. Stephanie Northcott has been at a hospital in Memphis with failing health, diagnosed with the same form of cancer that claimed her daughter’s life in 2012, WMC Action News 5 reported. It was woman’s dream to see her son, Dalton Jackson, graduate from high school. Unable to make it to the graduation, she got to live out her wish thanks to a special arrangement. Halls High School principal, football team and others came to her hospital room to watch Jackson receive his graduation diploma. Julie Northcott shared a Facebook Live on May 4 of Stephanie Northcott, surrounded by friends and family, watching from her hospital bed as her son graduates. The ceremony took place in Baptist Memorial Hospital East two weeks before the official ceremony. Jackson was handed his graduation certificate by school principal Suzanne Keefe, who was visibly emotional during the ceremony. Jackson and Northcott shared a special dance together as well to help celebrate the day. Credit: Julie Northcott via Storyful
