South Korea Scrambles Air Force Jets; Russian, Chinese Bombers Enter Air Defense Zone

South Korea scrambled its Air Force jet as two Chinese and six Russian nuclear-capable bombers entered the nation’s air defense identification zone unannounced. The zone makes up an area of airspace around South Korea’s territory. The Air Force uses it to ID and monitor approaching aircraft, to safeguard national security.
