Landslide Topples Large Boulder on Hawaii Following Hurricane Lane

Road closures continued on the island of Hawaii following torrential rains brought by Hurricane Lane as crews worked to free unstable materials endangering roadways on August 25. A section of Highway-19 in ‘Ō‘Ōkala, Hawaii, was closed but later reopened, as Hawaii Department of Transportation crews freed a large boulder, sending it tumbling to the roadway below.
