Historically High Upstream River Level Testing Three Gorges Dam

The Epoch Times
The Epoch Times
After several days of torrential rain the upper reaches of the Three Gorges Dam are at the highest flood levels since 1940. Qijiang is a tributary that flows into the Yangtze River in Chongqing City. Zaodu River, in turn, is a tributary of Qijiang. The Zaodu’s level has already passed the safety level while the rain still continues to pour. The river overflowed its banks inundating the streets.
