Heavy rain forces Californians to flee, triggers mudslide
Emergency responders and officials with California’s Department of Transportation responded to a levee breach near Highway 37 and Novato Creek on February 14, according to the Marin County Sheriff.
The breach occurred after the Novato Creek swelled due to heavy rain. California Highway Patrol warned that the breach had the potential to cause flooding along Highway 37.
Flooding and mudslides had already caused home collapses in Sausalito.
