Taiwan: Censorship Software in Xiaomi Smartphones

A Jan. 6  report by Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) is setting off alarm bells. It detected seven built-in apps, buried inside a certain kind of Chinese smartphone by Xiaomi.  All the apps share one common function—censoring politically sensitive words.
