NTD Evening News (May 25): Oath Keepers Leader Sentenced to 18 Years in Jan. 6 Case; SCOTUS Rules Against EPA in Wetlands Case

A U.S. judge on May 25 sentenced the founder of the Oath Keepers militia group to 18 years in prison for seditious conspiracy and other crimes related to the U.S. Capitol breach, after a defiant Stewart Rhodes stood before him and insisted he is a “political prisoner.” The House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to Bank of America requesting information about a list of customers they believe was voluntarily turned over to the FBI. The list of customers made bank transactions on and around Jan. 6. The Supreme Court voted to rein in the power of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate wetlands in a ruling issued, the latest in a series of rulings curbing federal regulatory authority. The Biden administration on May 25 released a national strategy to counter antisemitism, describing the plan as the “most ambitious and comprehensive U.S. government-led effort to fight antisemitism in American history.” NTD's Stefania Cox speaks with rabbi Yaakov Menken, managing director of the Coalition for Jewish Values, for his analysis.
