Woman Creepily Followed by Two Men in Car—She Turns Her Camera On and the Video Goes Viral

Petr Svab
A woman in Scottsdale, Arizona, posted a video on Facebook on March 13 that showed two man in a dark truck driving alongside her while she was out jogging in the Old Town area that day. She said a man in the car was following and harassing her. In the video, McKenzie Smalley is heard saying to the driver “I need you to stop following me right now. I don’t know you,” white a man in the truck appears to be trying to talk to her. In her Facebook post, Smalley said the “man pulled up to me asking me to come over to his car and when I wouldn’t he continued to follow me.” Smalley said the truck eventually started to park and she sprinted in the opposite direction and thus got away form the man. She explained she wasn't leading the man on. "I wasn’t flirting with him. I wasn’t smiling at him or giving him false hope that there was a chance i was interested," she wrote. "I was ignoring him minding my own business." She noted not only the man's poor behavior, but also the cars passing by not offering help. She asked people to step in when they see a woman giving them distressed looks. "Men, Don’t be this guy. And girls: don’t let guys like this harass you. Run away, report it, call the cops. Do what you have to," she wrote. Credit: McKenzie Joy Smalley via Storyful
