A 70-year-old man has been trapped in a train station in Southern China for three days. All because he doesn't have a smartphone—needed to scan a kind of virus tracking app. This video was shared online earlier this week. The app was launched by Chinese authorities as part of the country's contact tracing system. It aims to control people’s movements to prevent the spreading of the CCP virus—which causes COVID-19. Under this “health code” system, the color code on each user's app determines if that person is allowed to enter certain facilities or use public transportation. But the system has proven disastrous for those who do not own smartphones. Many of them are seniors.
