De Blasio Targeting City’s Rats with Dry Ice, Among Other Things

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a plan Tuesday to tackle the the city’s rat problem—with dry ice. Once put down the rats’ hole, the dry ice suffocates the rats. The city will also hire more exterminators, get new trash bins, and put concrete in dirt basements. The administration is focusing on 10 rat-infested NYCHA complexes.
