Woman Recounts Journey After Visiting Family in Ukraine

Valeriya Batalova lives in Chicago. She arrived in Ukraine in February to visit her grandfather before the war broke out. The city she was in was attacked, and she began her journey to leave the country. On Monday, she made it to the border between Ukraine and Medyka, Poland, and was waiting in line to cross.
