It was thrown away as scrap with a tape inside. I tried plugging it in but it doesn't work... Produced in the 1960s, Sony TC 222 was a half-track AC/DC mono recorder with two speeds ( 3¾ and 1 ips) and a 5″ reel capacity. Features included hide-away handle, VU meter, servo-controlled motor for accurate tape speed, monitor speaker and a PA facility (this would probably only be useful in small bathrooms)!
