U.S. intelligence agencies are warning that China, Iran, and other repressive states are recruiting pawns to help them target their critics in the United States. The FBI is warning individuals and organizations to be on the lookout for improper efforts of obtaining information or other ways of supporting these malicious operations. NTD speaks to Marc Ruskin, a retired FBI special agent, who says hostile regimes’ intel officers use proxies to carry out their bidding so they have one layer of separation if the perpetrator is implicated.
