China to Send Men, Equipment to Solomon Islands

China will send a temporary police group and anti-riot equipment to the Solomon Islands, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian during a press conference on Thursday. The Pacific Island nation also confirmed that the Chinese officers will help train the country’s police force.
