Pearl's Box Removing Gear Shafting Part One

KEITHFENNER.COM
KEITHFENNER.COM
I start the disassembly of the main gear box on Pearl last night and finding a lot of pecker tracks along the way. I talk a little about a new new motor I bought for her already, with higher speed than the original, to bring her up to todays or close to todays standards of speed choices. I know she will loose torque values but feel the speed difference will make up for machine finishes, working of aluminum and other softer alloys or plastics. The conclusion of this video I figured we are going to have to remove the other shafts reverse order Spindle back to the second shaft, due to gears engagement and the shafts are set in cup and cone bearings. I am working on my audio issues and in this video I mixed the audio from the other two cameras just to give the left side content. I have a splitter ordered and will be here next week, to try on my system.
