As inflation cuts into people's salaries, Americans are now concerned about being able to afford food. According to a LendingTree survey, about two-thirds of consumers have worried in the past month about affording groceries. Meanwhile, the number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits fell last week to a three-month low, underscoring the robustness of the labor market even as the Federal Reserve raises interest rates. So what do all these numbers say about the health of the U.S. economy and its outlook? How can investors be prepared? NTD spoke with Ted Oakley, founder of Oxbow Advisors. He has 40 years of experience in the investment industry.
