Arizona Border Patrol Reports Surge in Crossings

A federal judge is expected to decide the fate of a pandemic-era immigration policy this week. During the pandemic, U.S. authorities used a health law called Title 42 to quickly expel illegal immigrants to Mexico. But the CDC says it’s no longer needed for health reasons. It wants to end it next week. But that could lead to a surge in illegal crossings.
