Voters to Decide If Los Angeles Sheriff Can Be Removed

Los Angeles Supervisors recently voted to put an ordinance on the ballot that would give them greater power. The measure is asking voters to decide whether the board can remove elected officials, specifically the Los Angeles County Sheriff, Alex Villanueva. The measure passed in a 4–1 vote, with Supervisor Kathryn Barger dissenting.
