Put The Spline In The Coconut Part Two

Repair or replace a spline section on a hardened shaft is the challenge and after we anneal the ares needed to be refurbished, using hydrated lime and a number 6 torch tip, by heating and controlled cooling, we work on prepping the repair area for weld build up. After the annealing, we machine off the old spline and prep the area for the weld build up needed to create the new set of splines. cheers, ;{)
